Lesson 1 of 4
In Progress

Part 1. Introduction

Elisabet August 6, 2020

How can retirees and the disabled still make a big difference in politics?

After she retired Elisabet Michaelsen felt that she wanted to still make an impact in her community so she began volunteering for political campaigns and became passionately engaged in her community. But after an injury she found that she could no longer get out but she also didn’t want to sit at home so she began attending local postcard workshops. Since then she has organized her own postcard campaigns to help grassroots candidates and various political causes and to give a voice to seniors, the disabled, and other retirees.
